The Lodge at Paratiho Farms, one of the very finest accommodations available, and undoubtedly the most luxurious, is one of just three Relais & Chateaux properties in New Zealand. Nestled in 2000 acres of pristine and secluded working farmland, with many sheep, cattle and deer, the Lodge is filled with International and New Zealand art and sculpture, offers the very best Nelson foods and wines, and pampers and entertains guests in a stylish, informal way. Truly a gourmet destination, Paratiho enhances what the Nelson region already has.

Included are all meals - breakfast, lunch, 5 course dinner (even if a guests goes out on a days activity, we will pack them a picnic lunch designed around their preferences), all beverages including wines, spirits, Champagne, cocktail hour, their full mini bar in their suites and all on site goodies and activities. Separate from the main lodge are six large, extremely well-appointed suites, each positioned within the grounds to give guests the utmost privacy.

Every suite has a large walk in wardrobe, underfloor heating which extends out onto the private outdoor patio area, a fireplace which comes on at the flick of a switch, claw foot bath, rain-forest shower, laptop with internet connection, music system with CD's, separate bedroom to lounge area for privacy, fresh flowers and fruit, homemade chocolates and cookies placed by the bed daily, and also items which guests might not have with them but invariably need a steam iron, lavender bags, large mending kit with iron on patches, candles, hot water bottles, alarm clock with world timings.

Recreational activities at the Lodge include swimming, tennis, golf, petanque, croquet, a well-equipped gym complete with a sanarium (steam/sauna) and of course the 2000 acres of farm. We offer self guided walks or 4 WD tours with the farmer. In keeping with the pampering theme, we have included an on-site Health and Beauty spa offering a broad range of treatments designed to soothe and relax the mind and body, from facials, manicures and massage to hair styling, hydrotherapy treatments and body wraps. Beyond the farm gates are the fruits of the beautiful Nelson region. Not only is the produce of the land flavoursome and plentiful, but the area hosts three National Parks. The Lodge is a 45-minute drive from Nelson Airport.
