The Oystercatchers Cottage - Southland accommodation in Bluff.
Accommodation Description:
This characterful cottage is the perfect place to stay in Bluff. The Stewart Island Ferry Terminal is just 2 minutes walk away; so are beaches, pubs, cafes and a supermarket. The cottage was built in 1926 and has since been renovated, it boasts open plan living with a toasty fire and gas cooking & hot water (endless hot showers)! The Oystercatcher's cottage is located in a quiet street amongst a newly planted native garden with a sunny lawn for outdoor dining. We have made the cottage into the haven that we wish for when we're travelling; real coffee, fluffy towels, great shower, washing machine & a fire! The cottage is spacious, peaceful, warm and private. Airport transfers and a tasty breakfast are available too.
Bluff is located at the very end of State Highway 1, a 20 minute drive south of Invercargill. Many people stay here before catching the ferry to Stewart Island (Rakiura National Park). Bluff is famous for it's delectable seafood, especially oysters, blue cod, mussels, salmon and crayfish.
