Newly built, we opened on 1 January 2007 just in time for our first sun seekers to soak up the Nelson sun during your summer holiday. Intimate and romantic, this well appointed hillside retreat is situated in Nelson city overlooking the beach to the mountains. Being self contained accommodation, this makes it ideal for your honeymoon or just the privacy or solace you require away from the hectic pace of life.

Named " A Room with a View" the separate self contained apartment was purpose built to accommodate travelers and in particular, for anyone wanting a hands-on artistic experience with an experienced potter and teacher. Paul Laird is second generation artist with over 30 years in the craft.

Soak in the bath looking out to the harbor entrance or have a glass of wine to relax overlooking Tahunanui Beach after a long day. We are within walking distance of 10 restaurants and the beach. Owner is a ceramic artist and there is an opportunity to try first hand this fascinating art.
