Sparky's Backpackers is a new hostel in Invercargill, Southland NZ. We're small in size but big on atmosphere. Our theme is 'Railways,' as Sparky was once a train manager on the NZR Southerner. We've secured props from the movie "The World's Fastest Indian," starring Anthony Hopkins. The film was shot on location both here in Invercargill and on the salt flats in Utah, USA. We offer you the thrill of speed and the passion of a man who wanted to push himself and his machine beyond the impossible. You can view the movie for free at night, and if the night is fine we'll have a chin wag and sing along around our bonfire in the backyard. Bring your instruments! We have now been operating a little over 3 years,and have had a high rating from past guests through www.hostelworld of 83 to 98 %.We are going to be in 2012 Lonely Planet a huge achievement.
