Situated in the heart of Nelson Lakes National Park, AVAREST is the perfect luxury mountain retreat for people to relax in style and comfort.  Overlooking Lake Rotoiti (2 minute walk to lake edge) native beech tree filled with the sound of bellbirds, tuis and kaka.  Underneath the beech canopy are over 130 rhododendrons which flower progressively from September to January.

Guest rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated with private amenities and a separate lounge with TV, music, books and art, plus a tea and coffee facility. Breakfast at AVAREST can be as simple or  elaborate as your appetite requires, evening and lunch meals available by prior arrangement.
